Welcome to the first ever blog post from Poire Noire — the place where bold interior decor meets obsession-level quality control. This isn't just another shop. This is personal.

From Skateboards to Statements

We've known each other since childhood — the kind of friends who grew up skating the same cracked pavement, learning tricks and falling hard. Back then, we didn't think much about decor. But we knew what style meant. It was about identity. That mindset never left us.

Now, we bring that same edge into the spaces we live in. Skateboards turned from something we rode to something we now hang with pride — as wall art, as conversation pieces, as bold design choices that say something.

A Team of Contrasts That Just Works

Poire Noire isn't run by suits or faceless teams. We're a group of close friends with wildly different interests — interior design, tech, logistics, marketing. We argue, we debate, we push each other. But somehow, all our differences create something that works. Something real.

Why We Said "No" to Dropshipping

In the beginning, we explored dropshipping. Everyone does. It's fast, cheap, and easy to scale. But you know what it isn't? Controlled.

We ordered samples, ran tests, and got disappointed — again and again. The quality wasn't there. Finishes were sloppy. Materials felt wrong. We'd never sell something we wouldn't proudly hang in our own homes.

So we killed the idea.

Every product we sell now — especially our skateboard wall art — has been tested, refined, and approved by us. We're hands-on. If it doesn't pass our standard, it doesn't ship. Period.

We Tested Everything

Before we sold a single product, we went deep. Different printing methods. Wrapping techniques. Vinyl thickness. Gloss types. UV protection layers. Even the boards themselves — shape, weight, grain.

Every decision was deliberate. Every material tested until it felt right.

Some parts come from Europe, others overseas. On average, each wall art piece is made from components sourced from at least four countries. All to get that perfect finish we can stand behind.

Why Interior Decor?

Because we're tired of empty-looking homes. Rooms that look like they came from a hotel catalog. Walls that say nothing about who lives there.

Decor should tell a story. It should have personality, even edge. That's what we aim to create — pieces that make people stop and ask: "Where did you get that?"

One design changed everything.

When we dropped our SAINT LEOPARD skateboard wall art set, we weren't sure what to expect. But people loved it. Not just "likes on a post" — real feedback, real excitement, real homes being transformed.

That's when we knew: this is real. This idea has legs. We're onto something.
