How to Hang Your Skateboards: A Step-by-Step Fitting Guide

The Poire Noire Team · April 29, 2026 · 5 min read

Every Poire Noire set ships ready to hang. Use this guide with what comes in the package so your boards line up as one image with the right spacing.

What's in the box

Each package includes:

  • Skateboard art — your boards, finished and ready to display.
  • Wall mounts — pieces that attach to the wall so you can hang the skateboards securely.
  • Paper guide — tape it to the wall to align the skateboards and spacing into a single composition.

Hole plugs are not included in the kit. If your wall needs anchors or plugs (for example hollow drywall), pick hardware suited to your surface — your local hardware store can help.

What you'll need

Before you start, gather:

  • A wall — clean, flat, and where you want the art to live.
  • Tools — a level (to keep the paper guide straight), a drill (for pilot holes), a screwdriver or drill bit to tighten screws, and a pencil or marker to mark holes using the guide and mounts.
  • Cleaning supplies — a cloth or duster to wipe dust off the wall.
  • Tape — to hold the paper guide in place while you work.

Hang in six steps

  1. Pick a wall — choose the spot, then wipe away dust so tape and mounts adhere well.
  2. Stick the guide — tape the paper guide from the package onto the wall and use a level so it runs straight.
  3. Mark holes — with the guide in place, hold each wall mount (French cleat) where it belongs and mark where to drill (typically two holes per mount).
  4. Drill holes — drill at your marks, as deep as the screws are long.
  5. Screw in mounts — set each wall mount over the holes and tighten with the provided screws.
  6. Hang boards — hook each skateboard onto its mount using the fittings on the back.

Take your time on alignment — the paper guide is there so the final layout matches your design.
